[HowTo] Coral & Gold Tips
Labels: etude house, how to, nail art, orly | at 6:09 AM
Hello everyone!
It's so rainy and floody today with the monsoon. I hope everyone is safe and is helping out with the relief operations.
I decided to do this nail to just brighten up my mood after going through a pile of clothes I'd like to donate to the relief operations. Everything's just been so gloomy and dreary today so I needed a diversion.
I also got this new app on my phone called Rakuga Cute so I decided to make it simpler by just doing a collage.
Nail polish used are:
Orly Honeymoon in Style (base)
Orly Luxe (gold)
Etude House Look at My Cotton Candy Nails COR201
I hope you enjoyed this super mini how to.
Stay dry and safe! Let's keep praying.
[FOTD] Pinay and Proud Talk
Labels: fotd, human nature, pinay and proud | at 1:22 AM
Gave a talk today at Miriam College for Pinay and Proud. I darkened my skin tone a bit by using two shades of HN Perfect Coverage Foundation - Honey which is my real shade and Caramel which is one shade darker than mine.
I just made the makeup simple with grey tones on my eyes and some shimmer. Used HN Mineral Blush in Rosy Cheeks and a neutral lip.
I feel that adding a bit of darker foundation warmed up my face which I like. I think I'm going to do this more often especially in this gloomy stormy weather.
[How-To] Everyday Polished

Hello!
It's been such a long time since I've posted a tutorial. I think it's been over a year. A lot has changed and a lot has happened. I'm sorry to whoever relies on this blog for any makeup tips coz it's been stagnant for such a long time.
I just wanted to upload this one today because lately I've been teaching this trick to a bunch of people since it's the simplest, easiet eye makeup and it's so versatile.
To start out this is the status of my face now... No more live acne but a lot of red scarring still... I think to be fair to my skin, it has improved a lot over the past months.
So this is my moisturized face.
I immediately put a cream type of concealer.. The ones that are in tubes... I get about this much and cover the redness around my nose, the scars on my cheeks and under my lips and concentrate a lot of it under my eyes since I have really tired looking eyes.
So this is how my face looks after the cream concealer... It's a huge improvement!
After the concealer, I put on powder foundation. Of course my go-to foundation is Human Nature's Perfect Coverage Foundation. I'm not biased or anything but this is really the only thing that works for me right now. It's only been 2.5 months and I've finished this one. Look at how big the hole is!!!
Looks so white in this light... I guess it reflected. Haha
I would put bronzer on a super regular basis now.. I think I go through a couple of pans of bronzers a year.. rough estimate... It's super rare for me not to contour or tone down my complexion..
I just use a regular colored bronzer... No shimmers or anything. Just like a neutral shade that's several shades deeper than my skin tone. I still think this bronzer is a bit too orange but I haven't found the perfect shade of bronzer.. And I think it looks fine on picture...So... It's okay for now.
Aside from contouring my cheeks... I also applyt bronzer on my temples to add some warmth to my face so it won't be so flat and stark..
Another thing I find myself nowadays is contouring my nose...
I don't think I'll ever wanna get a nose job but i find contouring adds some kind of depth to my face in a subtle way.
What I use for contouring is a light yellowish brown eyebrow powder...
I tap it on my hand before putting it on my nose so it won't be to dark.
Right about where i put.. I start from my eyebrows down to the tip of the nose.
Contoured face and the brishes I use for contouring... I think both brushes are part of a cheap brush set I got from Walmart. I can't even remember anymore :(
Next I'd be doing my eyebrows. Before penciling in my eyebrows, I brush it first to go to the direction I want it to go to. My brows are usually wild even if I have them threaded like once every three weeks.
So I pencil it in... Actually... I have uneven brows. One is shorter than the other so what I would do is apply eyelid primer on the shorter brow so that the drawing I'd draw there won't fade during the day. It works wonders actually. It lasts until I take it off before sleeping!
I then fill my penciled brows with brow powder with an angled brush.
I do this step just to soften the hash line that was drawn on with a pencil.
Last step for my eyebrow routine is a brow mascara. I apply this to lighten my brows. I feel that lighter eyebrows give the face a brighter image.
So I would just apply it as if your combing it through your eyebrows.
Next is apply eyelid primer on my entire lid including the lower lash line for my pencil liner to stick. I noticed that whenever I do this, all the pencil liners I have don't smudge anymore, it just stays put. So this step really became a habit for me.
So next is eyeshadow... I just put a really like and finely shimmery gold on my lid.
I just spread it all over my lid up to the brow bone.
Next is black eyeliner.. I apply it not so perfectly on my upper lash... its better if you choose a really soft and creamy eyeliner because it's easier to blend.
It doesn't matter if it's perfect or not because I'll smudge it anyway with this shimmery brown eyeshadow. In this look I used a cream eyeshadow, but it really doesn't matter, powder eyeshadow works fine.
So I just take than eyeshadow and use it to smudge the black eyeliner slightly taking it upwards towards my crease.
I don't want this look to be too harsh and still have some softness to it so instead of using a black eyeliner on my top and bottom lash line, I use a shimmery khaki eyeliner.
For the bottom lash line I just applied it to the outer half of my eye, not all the way through.
Next are my lashes... I curled and applied primer on the top and bottom lash line. I sort of swear my using mascara base because I think it really does an amazing job at lengthening and volumizing the lashes.
As you can see here, I don't have to put falsies anymore. That's how amazing the mascara base is. I just have to apply 1-2 coats of mascara on my top and bottom lashes. I always use waterproof though because I'm always so sweaty and teary.. So waterproof is always my safe bet.
Here's the completed eye makeup. See it's not so difficult.
How it looks with my eyes open.
Almost done. I just apply a pink blush above the area that I put my bronzer.
Next is I highlight my face.. I highlight my nose.. Just the area where I didn't apply the contour.
I also highlight the area above where I put my blush.
Last bit is I applied a really nude lipstick.
And so we're done... I sort of half-assed my hair. But it's okay.
Super easy right? I really hope a lot of you guys won't be too intimidated about putting eye make up or even just makeup altogether.
Sorry, I won't be posting the products that I use anymore. Personal reasons, first of all I'm not sponsored, second of all I don't wanna promote anything aside from Human Nature! You understand right?
Hahaha!
Anyway, it's easier to put makeup without knowing the brand just so that you have a sort of mind set that you can use your own makeup to do this look... not just the exact brands that I use.
Thank you for those who are still following this blog and I'd love to post more tutorials about random looks next time.
I hope this is a start of a new beginning. Haha!
Anyway, goodnight!
Hitting pan!

My HN Perfect Coverage Foundation finally hit pan... After only a month and a half because I love it so much....

Hello!
Long time since I last blogged... But I've come to blog about a nail salon that I visited recently...
I've been meaning to visit Manos Nail Lounge by Burgos Circle at the Fort for such a long time but it only happened a few weeks ago and boy was I thankful that I got to experience their luxurious treatment.
The place is amazing... Great lighting, friendly staff, hygienic tools and great refreshments.... And not to mention that this is a social enterprise.... Their nail technicians are women from the nearby GK community in Pinagsama, Taguig. Isn't that amazing?
The atmosphere of the place is very welcoming and the nail technicians are all well trained. Their staff just affirms what my dad always says how Filipinos are all world-class if you just give them the opportunity to be... (GK LOVE!)
Anyhoo...
Here's my sister choosing from loads of pretty nail colors that are available...
She was getting confused which colors to choose for her mani and pedi because they're all so pretty!
They have a great selection of colors from candy colors to deep wines and the trending colors this season such as corals and mint greens...
It's just so awesome that they have a great collection of Zoya Nail Polish... I'm addicted to nail polish and I've read great reviews coz this particular brand seems to be the most natural and earth-friendly out of all the nail polish brands... Perfect for aspiring nature lovers like me...!
For the posh ladies, they also have an amazing collection of Chanel nail varnishes. They also have OPI, Orly and Essie... Only the best nail polish brands in this salon!
We were served their house ice tea... Which was really refreshing and a great pick me upper after a long work day...
Who says pedicures are only for the ladies?
Check out Mike getting a pedicure and a massage...
Here's me multitasking - baby sitting and having a relaxing pedicure at the same time... Yes... It can be done!
My pedi... They cleaned my toes painlessly and efficiently... I also love how Ate Anna (the nail technician) shaped my nails... they're perfect!
Ta-da! My finished mani!
Lovely color! I think this is Devin by Zoya... So cute and do clean!
Awkward foot photo... But such a great job on my nails... I love them and I can't wait to find the time to go back there!
A+++ on service, ambiance, nail color selection, social entrepreneurship!
I love it and I hope you get to try it too!
You may follow them on Twitter @ManosNailLounge or go to their website.
No wonder popular celebrities like KC Concepcion and hot models frequent this place... You'll really get star quality treatment here.
