Coming soon... and several interesting things...

Hello!

I was supposed to post a tutorial and a review but because I was rushing out the door this morning, I forgot my camera >,<;;

Anyway... here's what's coming soon...

Yummy...!

Hahaha..

Ta-da! It's Etude House's Sweet Eye Cupcake in Banana Choco Chip ^^;;

Yes.. A review, Howto and FOTD!

And as I was browsing through cosmetic brand sites I saw several interesting things such as this Eye Cupcake...

This one is also from Etude House and it's called Color my Brows in Light Brown.. I'm kinda brow-obsessed..Maybe that's why I got excited with this product.

(photo taken from the Etude House site)

I'm currently using up my Lunasol Brow Styling Mascara however, Etude House and Lunasol pricing are just worlds apart.  So if this product will reach the Philippine shores... I'll probably get this instead of repurchasing the Lunasol one.

Which reminds me.. I still have an unopened tube of brow mascara that I got from Singapore. It's by Fasio... So I guess I don't mind if this product will come a bit delayed ^^

Another one is this...Etude House 황금 비율 윤곽 메이커... Hahaha translated it's Golden Ratio Contour Maker.

(photo taken from the Etude House site)

It's basically a blush, bronzer and highlighter in one. More like that one that was released by Shiseido Maquillage awhile ago. Only again... 1/8 the price. I'm excited about this!!

Next one is Laneige Snow BB Cream ...
(Picture taken from the Laneige site)

I just saw this from a site and saw the ingredients... This is the first BB Cream I've seen that doesn't contain parabens as a preservative... It's pretty cool. I've yet to see how good this really is.  I'm not sure about buying this though considering how expensive Laneige is here.  But I still find it interesting... At this point in my life... BB cream is just a necessity... So I hope more and more brands will come up with BB creams with less chemicals... Maybe HumanNature can come up with one next year? Hahaha!!

In terms of skin care... I saw this from the Etude site awhile back and saw and bought the actual thing a few days ago...
(photo taken from the Etude House site)

I'm actually quite happy that a lot of mainstream brands are going towards lessening the chemicals in their products.

Just like this Pure Joy Line

It claims to be 7 Free Formula

GMO-free
synthetic fragrance free
 benzophenone free
paraben free
mineral oil free
synthetic dye free
ethanol free

Not bad to start with...! Way to go Etude!

Next one ... Is the Mix Color Cheeks of Lavshuca. Which is the poor man's Kanebo.. Hahaha Just kidding.. It's the cheapest brand of Kanebo that I know of that sells outside Japan (but unfortunately not in this country)

(photo taken from the Lavshuca site)

These gradiation cheek stuff are cool cool cool coz it gives more depth to the cheek instead of looking flat.

Howell... That's it pansit for now... Off to finishing the day job and moving on to the night job of making meatless burgers.

Tata for now!

Edit:

I wanted to post this face I did a few days ago with majorly alarming red lipstick. HAHA
The lipstick is actually my mom's... I just wanted to try an orangey red lippy...

This was last..... Wednesday...

Makeup used:
Pure Beauty Jasmine Water BB Cream
Love Minerals by Human Nature Powder Foundation in Island Shell (yes! We have shade names now!!)
Love Minerals by Human Nature Blush in Petal Bloom
Etude House Code B Cream Liner
The Magnum Volum' Express Mascara by Maybelline
Lunasol Brow Styling Mascara
Lavshuca Brow Palette
Mac Matte Lipstick in Lady Danger
Vov Lip Gloss

Okay... Seriously signing off...

[HowTo] Super Easy, Super Simple, Super Fast Everyday Mookup

Yay! Saturday blog post day!! ♥

But this entry is extra special because it's not my face you'll be seeing.

It's my super beautiful sister-in-law, Ate Eena! ♥♥♥

I told her that I was going to be doing this tutorial on a super easy look because Cheska requested for it.. and then she volunteered to do it with the makeup that I gave her. ^^

So here it is!!! ^-^

Makeup Used:

The palette used.. it's by Sephora..
I made Ate Eena choose which palette she wanted... She wanted the neutral brown shades..

I started by moisturizing Ate Eena's face..

And then I put on...Pure Beauty Jasmine Water BB Cream.. ♥
It's the one in the middle.. The purple one. It's super cheap and I got it from Watsons for PhP319.00 :D

The quality is pretty good. Comparable to Skin79. It's more compatible with my skin than the Etude Mineral BB Cream.♥

Here's the BB cream on ate Eena's face.

Next I just lightly conceal the under eyes...

Next is the H♥N Mineral Foundation..

I just used the sponge for more coverage.. If you prefer a sheerer coverage.. Use a brush.

Next is the whole point of this tutorial... THE EYES!! ♥

This is like.. Super easy... Super basic.

I just used the top most and the 3rd colours...

I start with the lighter colour. It's like a matte beige...

I put it all over the lid....Its just almost skin tone...

Next I put on the 2nd darker shade...
Just in from the lash line to the crease.. In the outer half of the eyelid...

Then I put on brown eyeliner... It's Mac's Teddy.♥

Not perfect at all coz then I'll smudge it to sorta blur the line.

I just used the sponge applicator to blur the line.

And then....I curl the lashes....

Then use mascara...

I used Maybelline's Magnum Volum' Express. I like it. Inexpensive and effective. ♥♥♥

How it's looking so far... I've already filled in her brows...

Up next is... Blush...
I used the light peachy shade...

Then the lips...

I used the berry shade.. (out of focus)

It looks so pretty on Ate Eena's lips.  ♥

I actually put on Paul & Joe gloss on top of it... It's not necessary. I just felt like it. ^^

Then... that's about it.♥

That's it for now. With my model who needs no makeup on to be radiant. But the Hope Ball is just around the corner so she's trying to learn already. ^^

HAPPY WEEKEND!! ♥♥♥

Bangkok Haul Review.. (major backlog)

Hola Chica!

I've been busy/lazy these past few weeks mending my broken heart so I haven't really posted these purchases from my Bangkok trip 3 weeks ago!

Bangkok is the ultimate shopping place! May it be clothes, makeup.. Amazing stuff... It was only my second time but I'm already planning on going back by June for some more stuff :) Thank God for PAL Econolight flights!!! (lovcs)

First thing's first...

MAC Hello Kitty Collection shtuff..

I just got two things... only two things captured my heart... and the fact that a lot were out of stock already.. Hahaha so I'm like choosing from the rejects! I got the Lip Glass in Sweet Strawberry aand the Beauty Powder (which I use as a blush) in Pretty Baby. ^^

Here's me with the Sweet Strawberry l/g.... Looking uber happy with my new schtuff... it's a very nice pink ^^ i love it...

The lip glass is cute as well... Its a purply pink with blue sparkles... it's a cool tone... it has the same texture as any other Mac Lip glass... adorable colour though.. The only drawback I saw was that the Mac and the Hello Kitty logos rub off quite easily.. I'm not sure if it's just this collection or everything else.. (as you can tell, I'm not a Mac fan) But aside from that, everything's great! Love the packaging...!! Something i'd love to flip out and do retouch while in the train or something ^^;;

I actually really do like this Beauty Powder which I use as a blush. It's cool coz the colour is very subdued, no matter how much you put, you will never look like a clown, but at the same time, it's not hard to show up on the skin ^^;; it doesn't actually have any sort of shimmer... if you look closely, it looks as if it does...but it doesn't really show... ^^ it seems like such a good deal since I use it as a blush, there's loads of powder in that pan, so it'll last me awhile XD i love the embossed hello kitty (love love love)

Then there's the Oriental Princess Beneficial Phenomenal Stop Age Concealer... whoa... got out of breath just saying what it is! Cool concealer pallette with 3 shades in one... When I first saw it I immediately thought.. "Hey! Something I can use for makeup gigs!!"

It's super cheap... it was around 230 baht... that's like $6.20~! Its a super creamy concealer that's also supposed to be anti-ageing :P I find that the two lighter shades on the left are too light for me... so what I do is use the rightmost shade to conceal and the middle and left shades to highlight^^;; the coverage isn't very long lasting though... I'd say it's about medium coverage... but you may have to reapply once or twice during the day... >,<;; Next are the purchases from Beauty Buffet.. it's a Cosmeda company... It's also a Thai brand :) I got the Gino Mccray Benefique Waterproof Double Volume Curling Mascara... a lot of claims there don't you think? Double Volume + Curling...!

Me with my super cool friend, Reby in Bangkok - both wearing the Gino Mccray mascara... ^^;;
the brush... it's pretty decent... esp it's also pretty cheap... it was 299 baht... so around $7-8.

I'd say it does great in volumizing, and it really is waterproof but not too waterproof wherein you'll have a hard time washing it off... but the curling part... I'm not so convinced... It clumps a little too... Oh well...

Last but not the least... my new brushes!!!!

They're also from Beauty Buffet and all of them are Gino Mccray...

Likes:

- I love the feeling of the brushes! They are so soft... and made of synthetic material ... Meaning it won't turn hard after awhile.. after several washes...

- I love how it's so cheap! The material and the bristles are comparable and similar to The Body Shop brushes... which are reasonable priced as well... but nothing beats Gino Mccray brush prices!

- I love how it looks sleek and both the blush brush and the mini concealer brush (left and right) came with their own plastic pouch... so it's easy to travel with, super hygienic... won't stain the makeup purse

Disikes:

- the smudger (middle) tip... after 1 application... the glue connecting it from the handle to the tip is not very strong because it was already coming out... agh... oh well.... this used to happen to me too before with the Body Shop Line Softener... but... not after one usage!!! Oh well... good thing I know how to put it back...

But all in all... I LOVE BEAUTY BUFFET!!

If you ever find yourself going to Bangkok, do check out their local brands...Bangkok isn't really for clothes shopping anymore... they have a wide variety of local cosmetic brands to choose from... they're quite good and affordable... especially for girls out there who are still starting their makeup collections... the brushes are a good buy... and for about $30 you'll have all the basic brushes you'll ever need... :)

Til my next blog...!! (which will be in a few minutes... haha!)
