[FOTD] Pinay and Proud Talk

Gave a talk today at Miriam College for Pinay and Proud.  I darkened my skin tone a bit by using two shades of HN Perfect Coverage Foundation - Honey which is my real shade and Caramel which is one shade darker than mine.

I just made the makeup simple with grey tones on my eyes and some shimmer.  Used HN Mineral Blush in Rosy Cheeks and a neutral lip.

I feel that adding a bit of darker foundation warmed up my face which I like.  I think I'm going to do this more often especially in this gloomy stormy weather.

[HowTo] Done in a Jiffy Makeup

Hello again! ♥

As I've mentioned in the previous entry, I shall be posting another howto ^^

Its going to be really simple with several items that I got this week.♥

So as usual I start with this...my blemished face. I'm going through weird periods in my skin... because of stress, lack of sleep and hormones... :/

And so as usual I'd put on BB Cream. I'm using Pure Beauty Jasmine Water BB Cream.

I only use this much...

And then it looks like..this after BB cream and mineral foundation by dun-dun-dun-dun... Human Nature!! ^^

So onto cuter things...♥♥♥

(photo taken from the Etude site)

I got the Sweet Eye Cupcake from Etude the shade name is soooo cute.. Menu 1: Banana Choco Chip♥

Here's the swatch on my fingers with just one swipe... Not MAJOR pigment there but enough... ^^

Here's a swatch on my hand with flash

Without flash

The manufacturing date is very favorable for me... HAHA (can you say geek?)

The manufacturing date is July 20, 2010 A little over 2 months... ♥

here's my naked eyelid...
I need to clean my brows .... LAZY

So I just get the lighter shade and as usual put it all over my lid...
I just used my finger tips to do it.. Easier that way.

And then I get a brush to put on the darker colour on my lashline... going towards the crease..

Pretty shimmers ^^

I'm using this Coastal scents brush... It's double ended so I flipped it over to put the lighter shade on my lower lashline...

And then eyeliner!!♥

I'm using this Coffret D'Or Full Keep Gel Liner that comes with a fabulous classy brush...  ♥

(picture taken from the Adam Beauty site)

Unlike in the picture I'm actually using the purple shade...

Although you can't see very well, it's like a greyish purple...

I bought this on a whim when I was feeling down a few weeks ago.  But I've just now learned to actually love this product. Takes awhile to get used to its consistency since it's a lot harder than the Etude House Code B Strong Eyes Cream Liner.. But this gives a softer eyeline because it's greyish purple...

It also keeps true to its word when it says it's a Full Keep Gel Liner since it literally lasts the whole day without smudging and removes easily when you wash your face. I love it!♥♥♥

I just applied it on the upper lash line for today...

Next is mascara... (i sorta tidied my brows up a bit!)

I used The Magnum Volum' Express for the upper lashes and...

(photo take from the Face Shop site)

This lower lash mascara is quite a mouthful... Face & it All about Mascara 06 Mini Power.. Hehe.
It's really intended just for the lower lashes..
Initally..the first ever brand that I saw this from was Fiberwig.. And I was like.. Yeah whatever it's just a marketing ploy to get you to buy another product. But lo and behold! The small, angled brush actually works wonders! ♥

Here it is... I'm showing the small brush...So I apply it on my lower lashes...for a more wide-eyed look.♥♥

But I'm not perfect and accidents do happen... So when they do... Q-tips to the rescue!♥

Clean as a whistle! ♥
Here's my finished eye with my brows made already... ♥

Next is the blush... I use the Human Nature final shade...I made last Thursday. ♥
It's quite blurry not only because my camera isn't so great.. But also so that you'll be excited to see it in its actual form and packaging when it gets launched this October!!! Can't wait!! ♥

And then... LIPS!

I'm using Etude House Dear Darling Glossy Lips in this very racy-sounding shade.. Sexy Dream. Haha

(picture  taken from the Etude site)

It's pretty... Very natural, believable pink/brown/old rose Hehe I can't describe the shade.

That's pretty much it!

Those are my random poses for this very easy, natural look!
I've packed everything in a pencil case for touch ups. Hahaha

I hope this helped you in some way ^^

Coming soon... and several interesting things...

Hello!

I was supposed to post a tutorial and a review but because I was rushing out the door this morning, I forgot my camera >,<;;

Anyway... here's what's coming soon...

Yummy...!

Hahaha..

Ta-da! It's Etude House's Sweet Eye Cupcake in Banana Choco Chip ^^;;

Yes.. A review, Howto and FOTD!

And as I was browsing through cosmetic brand sites I saw several interesting things such as this Eye Cupcake...

This one is also from Etude House and it's called Color my Brows in Light Brown.. I'm kinda brow-obsessed..Maybe that's why I got excited with this product.

(photo taken from the Etude House site)

I'm currently using up my Lunasol Brow Styling Mascara however, Etude House and Lunasol pricing are just worlds apart.  So if this product will reach the Philippine shores... I'll probably get this instead of repurchasing the Lunasol one.

Which reminds me.. I still have an unopened tube of brow mascara that I got from Singapore. It's by Fasio... So I guess I don't mind if this product will come a bit delayed ^^

Another one is this...Etude House 황금 비율 윤곽 메이커... Hahaha translated it's Golden Ratio Contour Maker.

(photo taken from the Etude House site)

It's basically a blush, bronzer and highlighter in one. More like that one that was released by Shiseido Maquillage awhile ago. Only again... 1/8 the price. I'm excited about this!!

Next one is Laneige Snow BB Cream ...
(Picture taken from the Laneige site)

I just saw this from a site and saw the ingredients... This is the first BB Cream I've seen that doesn't contain parabens as a preservative... It's pretty cool. I've yet to see how good this really is.  I'm not sure about buying this though considering how expensive Laneige is here.  But I still find it interesting... At this point in my life... BB cream is just a necessity... So I hope more and more brands will come up with BB creams with less chemicals... Maybe HumanNature can come up with one next year? Hahaha!!

In terms of skin care... I saw this from the Etude site awhile back and saw and bought the actual thing a few days ago...
(photo taken from the Etude House site)

I'm actually quite happy that a lot of mainstream brands are going towards lessening the chemicals in their products.

Just like this Pure Joy Line

It claims to be 7 Free Formula

GMO-free
synthetic fragrance free
 benzophenone free
paraben free
mineral oil free
synthetic dye free
ethanol free

Not bad to start with...! Way to go Etude!

Next one ... Is the Mix Color Cheeks of Lavshuca. Which is the poor man's Kanebo.. Hahaha Just kidding.. It's the cheapest brand of Kanebo that I know of that sells outside Japan (but unfortunately not in this country)

(photo taken from the Lavshuca site)

These gradiation cheek stuff are cool cool cool coz it gives more depth to the cheek instead of looking flat.

Howell... That's it pansit for now... Off to finishing the day job and moving on to the night job of making meatless burgers.

Tata for now!

Edit:

I wanted to post this face I did a few days ago with majorly alarming red lipstick. HAHA
The lipstick is actually my mom's... I just wanted to try an orangey red lippy...

This was last..... Wednesday...

Makeup used:
Pure Beauty Jasmine Water BB Cream
Love Minerals by Human Nature Powder Foundation in Island Shell (yes! We have shade names now!!)
Love Minerals by Human Nature Blush in Petal Bloom
Etude House Code B Cream Liner
The Magnum Volum' Express Mascara by Maybelline
Lunasol Brow Styling Mascara
Lavshuca Brow Palette
Mac Matte Lipstick in Lady Danger
Vov Lip Gloss

Okay... Seriously signing off...
